Vintage Sunday - A Tribute to Grandmothers

Today I am feeling nostalgic - been thinking of my Grandmother alot. So today I am going to feature some items I remember from her home or know that she would have loved....

Please enjoy and visit the shops of these special items!

Cissyscrafts
-
This ceramic pitcher and tray was undercoated with a rose pink. and clear glazed. The pitcher is
10 in. tall and 7 1/2 in. from spout to handle. 5 in. at base . The tray is 8 in. wide and 10 in. long. No cracks or chips.

Shesarainbowvintage - This is a very cute piggy bank made into the shape of a cat and kitten! The colors are very striking in shades of pink, black, grey, silver, and yellow and it has a luminescent finish to it. It was made in Japan and although it does has a good amount of wear on it (see photos), it's still a great piece... VERY CUTE!!

GotMilkGlassandmore - These are very detailed male and female Victorian figurines made in Occupied Japan.
No chips or cracks. There is some minor paint loss but nothing serious at all.
8" tall. 2.5" base.

Carriesattic - This beautiful vintage Grandmother plate is by Norcrest and is Fine China
Measures approx: 8" diameter
Back is marked Gold Norcrest Fine China; B-761. Cream plate with yellow accents
Gold trim ; Pink Roses Motif; Has cut out design; Script GRANDMOTHER in gold
A very pretty plate for any collector!
My Grandmother had a huge collection of plates and cups in this style... she marked every piece with the givers name.. we all got ours back when Grandmother passed away!

I hope you enjoyed my tribute to my grandmother and yours!

Have a wonderful Sunday and if Grandmother or Grandfather is still with you - go visit or call them.

What a wonderful tribute to your grandmother. One of my grandmas taught me to sew and gave me free rein on her machine. My other grandma lived several states away but always sent me hand-crocheted items as gifts.

Have you ever thought about including a little bit
more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and everything.
However think about if you added some great graphics or video clips to give your posts more, "pop"!

Your content is excellent but with pics and video clips, this site could undeniably be one of the very best in
its field. Superb blog!
